Who am I?
I am an art-maker, craftsperson, communicator and facilitator working in the field of dance. My aim is to articulate a vision of the human body as a site of celebration, cultural connection and creative exploration.
I have been a practitioner, performer and student of various dance lineages for more than 20 years. My eclectic range of stylistic influences include Middle Eastern danceforms and their descendent vernacular of tribal fusion, classical ballet, jazz, silent cinema and vaudeville, along with the continually changing landscape of contemporary movement that circulates worldwide via the internet.
I work to cultivate an attitude that is positive, collaborative and community-minded, and an aesthetic that is forward-looking yet historically informed, bold yet intricate, and meditative yet exuberant.
