Resume
I’m running for Vice-President Indigenous Relations to advocate for Indigenous graduate students across all campuses and ensure our voices are heard and valued within the GSA. As a Red River Métis student based at Augustana, I bring a rural perspective alongside over a decade of experience working in and with Indigenous communities. My priorities include strengthening relationships with Indigenous student groups, increasing transparency and communication between the GSA and Indigenous students, and advancing culturally safe, decolonizing practices in graduate education. I will champion the priorities of Indigenous students through respectful dialogue, community-led action, and collaboration with university partners and GSA leadership. Guided by the TRC’s Calls to Action and “Braiding Past, Present, and Future,” I am committed to creating systemic change, supporting Indigenous-led initiatives, and building a more equitable and inclusive graduate student experience for all.
